Bacon Bread:
What you need:
For 4 people:
4 hotdog breads
butter
mustard
4 thick slices of jarlsberg or cheddar
4 slices of bacon
2 tomatoes
pepper
garlic salt
Preparation time: 15 min.
Cooking/roasting time: 10 min.
Oven temp: 200°C
This is how you prepare it:
1: Separate the hotdog breads at the "spine" and apply butter and mustard in a fine layer.
2: Join the two sides again with a thick slice of cheese in between
3: Wrap the bacon around the hotdog bread and use a tooth pick or similar to hold it in place. Put them in a cooking dish.
4: split the tomatoes in half and sprinkle pepper and garlic salt on them. Add them so to the cooking dish.
5: Put the dish in the middle of the oven at 200°C for about 15 min. It is done when the cheese is melted and the bacon has a golden hew.
Serve: straight from the oven.
Variations: You can change cheese and spices by taste.
